Resin Brake Bag is a flat format 100mm wide semi-permeable membrane strip. For applications where eliminating print through is required and/or an outside-in feed strategy is desired. The RBB-100 is a semi-permeable membrane textile welded to a sturdy vacuum film, sandwiching a knitted flow mesh to maintain an open airway. Like performance waterproof clothing and medical textiles, the durable semi-permeable fabric allows air to pass and maintain vacuum, but highly resists any resins from entering once the infusion is complete. Pressure can be maintained on the system until cured with little to no risk or resin entering the pump.
Designed to be placed directly against the laminate, over peel ply or perforated release film, either at the edges of the reinforcement or in the middle of the component. Will not leave an imprint. Cut away flow media in place where RBB-100 is to be placed.

Description
Infu-Line – Elevated Resin feed line
Infu-line is a 12mm spiral hose sewn into a knitted mesh. This practical and economical feed line allows long longitudinal feed lines to be placed in succession, delivering high volumes of resin flow. Designed to be placed directly over surface of the part and release with the surface mesh after the cure. Suitable for anything from bucket seats to lengthy boat hulls. The two stitch lines serve to easily hold the spiral tube at a consistent height of ~30mm (1.25”). This eliminates print through and potential exotherm problems from simply placing spiral feed lines directly against the flow-media. The footprint averages 120mm (4.5”) and is easy to secure with tape during assembly.
Benefits
- Feed long lengths with even flow fronts. Faster infusion times since the length of the feedline is rapidly filled.
- Greatly reduces additional ports for resin inlets. Very long distances can be infused with single, central inlets. This in turn reduces complexity, reduces labor time during assembly, and rewards with lower costs, faster turn around times, and fewer consumables overall.
Handling
- Flexible and easy to conform across gently curved surfaces and some sharper geometries. Mesh can be relief cut to conform to tighter changes in direction if needed.
- Can also be laid on its side for side feeding long and narrow parts.
- For cure temperatures up to 180F/80C
